BIOL 1610/1615: General Biology and Lab
Cells are the building blocks of life. They are complex little legos that produce energy, secrete waste, reproduce, and communicate with one another. This course focuses on the cell and all of its amazing processes and serves as the first step for many biology, pre-med, pre-dental, and pre-nursing students. Heavy emphasis is placed on knowledge application and building a "big picture"; understanding instead of memorization.
The co-requisite lab is a hands on exploration of the scientific method. Experimental design and effective communication of scientific data are emphasized. Still not sold? You get to stick a cockroach in a syringe.......... Need I say more? |
