BIOL 1020/1025: Human Biology and Lab
Have you ever wondered which lasts longer: your eyebrow or your nose hairs?
What does O- really mean when it comes to blood type? Why do babies have a soft spot? Human biology focuses on the structure and function of the human body. This course is designed for non-biology majors and aims to provide students with enough knowledge to make informed decisions about their bodies and their health. The course is accompanied by a hands on laboratory course where we build mechanical models of the elbow joint, study blood pressure and how it is affected by hot and cold, and type our own blood. |
